I was born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1994, where I studied Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Zagreb. I moved to Cork, Ireland in 2017, where I met my husband. I was a busy pharmacy manager and a full-time pharmacist when I went on my maternity leave in mid-2024, during which I wrote Modern Fables for Children. I really loved reading Aesop’s Fables to my elder daughter, but I felt children nowadays would benefit from new stories that focus on contemporary challenges and ''old'' wisdom. What started with Poem for Marta a few years back, developed into a book I poured my heart into, wanting to empower, not only my own daughters, but also all children around the world. The book connected me and my daughter in a beautiful way, and I believe it had a lasting positive impact on her. Ultimately, I hope that my book helps children find their inner strength, promotes healthy parent-child relationships, and encourages kids to speak their minds, making the world a better place for future generations.

How do we, as parents, raise resilient, empathetic, and confident children? I believe there are two parts to that solution: first, teaching them core values and life skills, and second, nurturing the connection between us. And connection happens through conversation - by giving them our full attention, showing genuine interest in their experiences and opinions, and making them feel heard.
And that's exactly why I wrote Modern Fables for Children. In just 10 minutes a night, families can enjoy quality time together, where children can learn meaningful concepts, develop critical thinking, and open up about their worldviews. My ultimate goal with this book is for children to find their inner strength and have loving and healthy relationships with their parents.
